About Us

The Occupational Development Center (ODC) is a nonprofit social enterprise that serves a population of individuals with diverse disabilities and vocational needs. Since its establishment in 1971 in Thief River Falls, MN, ODC has grown to nine locations and serves over 600 individuals annually throughout northern Minnesota.
We support individuals with a variety of services in life skills, vocational & employment training needs, working with businesses in their communities to provide options to experience work in a highly integrated setting. In addition, our production facilities provide numerous manufacturing capabilities, including sheet metal shaping and finishing, welding, packaging, assembly, sewing, wood processing and industrial powder coating.
All ODC staff is professionally trained to assess the needs, desires and goals of the people we serve. Our mission is to support clients in finding meaningful and competitive employment and pursue a career of their choosing.
