Accountant
Job Summary:
Systematically records, summarizes and analyzes business and financial accounts and transactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or combination of education and experience. Experience with budgetary and grantee accounting, State and Federal fiscal regulations, audit procedures, and automated accounting. Computer experience with Excel, Word and Abila. Superior 10 key skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process bank transfers for A/P and Payroll
- Establish and maintain ledgers in compliance with various grant conditions and requirements
- Reconciles bank accounts
- Assists with payroll functions
- Coordinates budgets, expenditures and activities between multi contract programs
- Assist with Agency audits
- Prepare Federal, State, Funding Contracts and all required form filing (e.g. monthly reports, 990, Etc.)
- Assists with personnel training
- Reconcile loans with ledger
- Processes electronic banking cash receipts
- Create, analyze and process distribution codes
- Review and post budgets
- Create payroll codes per Grant/Contract requirements and budget constraints
- Monitor various fund budgets
- Review/process accounts payable vouchers and fund transfers
- External Agency accounting
