Weatherization Manager

Job Summary:
Manages the development and operations of Arrowhead Weatherization activities.
 
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a skilled construction trade with an emphasis on construction, rehabilitation, energy efficiency and insulation techniques.  Experience in supervising a labor-intensive environment using performance-based measurements.  Maintains a current MN Residential Building Contractor license and the required certification for enforcing lead rules. Experience in estimating costs associated with home construction and repair and working with owners to achieve their desired outcomes. Regularly travels the service area. 
 
Needed Attributes: Ability to relate to technical information in a non-technical fashion with solid analytical skills.  Self-starter with team building, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.  Computer literate. Current State of Minnesota driver’s license required.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a member of the Housing Services Management Team.

  • Responsible for staff utilization, selection, training, evaluation and disciplinary processes involving a bargaining unit.

  • Monitors workplace safety policies and procedures.

  • Monitors and evaluates programs for effectiveness and quality services.

  • Monitors program budgets, production levels and maintains inventory control.

  • Ensures that programs are administered in accordance with Federal, State, and agency regulations and policies.

  • Handles client complaint and grievances.

  • Collaborates and communicates with local officials, utilities and funding sources and represents the Agency at public meetings.

FT Weatherization Manager needed in Hibbing, MN. Monday-Thursday, 40 hrs/wk. Starting wage: $33.16/hr.
