About Us
The Laurentian Chamber of Commerce supports and enhances the business communities of the eastern Mesabi Iron Range - Buhl, Mountain Iron, Virginia, Eveleth, Gilbert, Biwabik, and the surrounding region.
Membership with the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce supports community growth and reputation management, events that support networking and business growth, education opportunities, and takes on the responsibility of representing the Iron Range as a desirable location to relocate, raise a family, receive an education, and start a business.
The Laurentian Chamber staff supports and is supported by active committees:
Ambassadors are a forward-facing volunteer group that provide staffing for events, member recruitment and engagement, and serve as our public relations team. They support our members by attending Business After Hours, open houses, ribbon cuttings, and more.
The Legislative Affairs Committee makes recommendations to the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors on matters ranging from policy to legislation.
The Business Development Committee routinely discusses topics that affect the businesses within the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce community and determines how they can be better advocates for change and continued business development within our region.
The Business Committee works on developing projects that serve as conduits of information for businesses and individuals looking to expand or relocate to the region, as well as help the chamber survey the business community and better determine our business community’s needs.
The Emergent Community Leaders (Leadership Laurentian) is community development through accessible education and community involvement through professional and leadership development. *Currently under redevelopment
