General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for all guest relations and operations with the assistance and effective delegation of other members of the Management Team and Staff. The General Manager promotes the vision of the owner “…to be the best in the market place” while providing an ethical, professional, team-spirited, and happily motivated staff.

The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance and staff training for all specific brand initiatives, updates, changes in brand standards, loyalty program promotions, brand promotions, PMS (Property Management System; Front Desk Computers) updates, website and other online updates including employee training programs. Through daily review of the specific brand portal websites and proactive management the General Manager will effectively coordinate communications between staff, management, ownership and brand.

Through one-on-one training of the Guest Service Representatives/Front Desk, Breakfast Attendants, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Management Staff, the property will deliver a CONSISTENT level of service while EXCEEDING GUEST EXPECTATIONS! Utilizing tools such as training guides, job descriptions, checklist and other resources, the General Manager will ensure a consistent foundation for all Staff to excel in the performance of their respective duties.
 
The General Manager’s schedule will be based on high business/occupancy/revenue periods, with consideration toward providing a consistent schedule for guest service. Typically, Monday through Friday day shifts are the best schedule for the General Manager; however, high demand periods at the front desk may require management presence as well. A high degree of flexibility is required based on the need for continuous front desk coverage as well as other scheduling needs in other departments such as Housekeeping and Laundry. The General Manager is classified a salary employee and required to work approximately 80 hours in a two week pay period.

Starting wage $35,000-40,000 DOE.
