Festival of Trees 2023

The 2023 Festival of Trees begins on Wednesday, November 15 and runs through Sunday, November 19. Most events will take place at the Virginia Elks Lodge (220 N. 5th Avenue West) except if noted below. The Laurentian Chamber of Commerce kicks off the Festival with Business After Hours from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, November 15, hosted by Iron Trail Motors. *Festival of Trees Raffle Tickets not available this evening. Silent Auction items will be available to bid on. Thursday and Friday (November 16 and 17) the Virginia Community Foundation is holding its very popular Designer Handbag Bingo. Single tickets are $35 in advance or reserve a table of 8 for $280. *Due to Minnesota Gambling Laws, we are not allowed to sell Bingo packages by credit card or check. CASH ONLY! When you purchase your ticket either online or in person, you are purchasing admission only to the event which will include your seat, light refreshments, and the merriment that comes with this super fun and energy filled event. Once you arrive at the Elks Club, to play Bingo, you will be required to purchase a Bingo package for $5 CASH at the door. Additional Bingo Card Books and Extra Special Game #11 available for purchase at the door - $5 each. CASH ONLY! We will be playing 10 games and the packet includes 3 cards. Saturday November 18, the Essentia Health Virginia Regional Foundation hosts the return of Tour of Homes! Four area homes and one business will be welcoming visitors from 11:00am to 7 pm. Please stop by the Virginia Elks Lodge anytime between 10:30am-5:30pm to redeem your ticket for your “top secret” home information guide & wristbands. Also on Saturday November 18 is the Twilight Holiday Parade which starts at 5:15 pm on Chestnut Street. Fireworks follow at 6:15 pm on the shores of Silver Lake. Santa will be stopping by for Sunday’s Pancake Breakfast (November 20) from 9:00 AM to 12:00 pm. Shannon Gunderson’s piano students will provide some great music. The cost for Pancake Breakfast is $10 for those 13 years and older, $5 for ages 6-12, and $2 for those 5 and under. Stunning Silent Auction Items will be available for viewing anytime the Elks Lodge is open. Bidding ends at 12:00 pm sharp on Sunday, November 20 and winning bid items may be picked up by 3:00 pm Sunday at the Elks Lodge. All proceeds from these events are designated for Cold Caps for Essentia Oncology patients and community projects sponsored by the Virginia Community Foundation.
